Ferrari Reveals Special Logo To Commemorate Its 75th Anniversary

Ferrari has unveiled a special logo ahead of 2020’s landmark 75th year since the company was founded by Enzo Ferrari in 1947. As one of the most influential brands in the world, you’d be hard-pressed to find someone who hasn’t heard of the supercar pioneer or its instantly-recognizable scarlet vehicles.
According to The Drive, just two years after the Maranello automaker began, it made a name for itself on the racing track. Ferrari joined the likes of Alfa Romeo and Maserati at the very first Formula One World Championship race back in 1950. Till today, the Prancing Horse are the only team to have competed in every single championship since its inception.
In fact, Enzo Ferrari’s main passion had been for racing, though he quickly realized that in order to fund the team, he had to build sports cars for the roads that would be popular among wealthy drivers. The brand has since expanded into one that covers all aspects of lifestyle, which Ferrari stores selling everything from soft toys to kids’ apparel.
As per a video by the automaker, the inspiration behind the 75th-anniversary logo involved a specially-created mosaic, which is now on display at Ferrari HQ. The artwork, more so a puzzle, is made up of thousands of pieces assembled by employees at the brand’s iconic Maranello factory.
“For this special year we have created a special icon: a sculpture made up of thousands of components forged here in our factory and positioned one by one by my Ferrari colleagues,” said Ferrari Chairman, John Elkann.
“It is a symbol of the Ferrari spirit which is shared both here in Maranello and by all our family around the world. It reflects the essence of who we are, our past 75 years, and our future. It is a symbol of company that, as Enzo Ferrari once said—above all, is made of people.”
