While the mere use of sexual innuendo is frowned upon in many parts of the world, one brand in Iceland bares it all in front of families with children.
A daring ad by the country’s telecommunications company Nova is astonishing viewers around the globe for reportedly broadcasting visuals of full-frontal nudity during prime time on national television.
The creative reveals naked men and women—with their dangly bits and bobs on show—getting ready for their exercise routines.
The commercial, produced by advertising agency Brandenburg in time for Nova’s Apple and Samsung Galaxy watch subscription sale, aims to illustrate the freedom of only carrying around a smartwatch.
Defending the flashy choice, Nova described, via the Reykjavík Grapevine, “We only need to talk about respect for the body. We are, at least, all kinds and of all possible shapes and sizes. Here is our new ad in all its glory. Nothing to hide. Nothing to be ashamed of. Everyone out.”
The advert can be viewed below, but do take heed that it features very sensitive material.
