PANTONE Color of the Year 2001
PANTONE recently unveiled the refreshing ‘Greenery’ as its color of 2017, so it seems like a good time to go down memory lane and revisit all the PANTONE colors of the year.
First introduced in 2000, the color chosen by PANTONE each year went on to deeply influence design, fashion and many other fields—Vogue Australia recently rounded up all 17 colors PANTONE has placed in the limelight so far.
From the calming Cerulean blue of 2000 to the feminine Rose Quartz from 2016, a browse through this line-up shows that some colors appear more often, which points to their popularity.
For instance, shades of turquoise and red/pink showed up much more than neutral earth tones.
