Adobe Lightroom For iOS Now Lets You Import Photos From SD Cards Seamlessly
By Izza Sofia, 11 Dec 2019
Adobe has unveiled two substantial updates for Lightroom for the iPhone and iPad.
The iOS and iPadOS updates include the ‘Direct Import’ feature and the ‘Advanced Exporting’ function. Adobe showed off the ‘Direct Import’ feature last month in its sneak peek video.
Adobe called it “seamless import” due to the concept of importing photos straight into the Lightroom apps for iOS and iPadOS through an SD card or drive.
The second update involves the ‘Advanced Export’ function. This allows users to “export multiple photos as DNG, JPEG, TIF files, along with control over metadata, watermarking, file naming, output sharpening, and color space,” Lightroom Product Manager Tom Hogarty says on the Adobe blog.
The final bonus that Adobe released this week is an update that lets users create shared albums, which was only available on Lightroom for web previously.
Now, Lightroom users can add photos and invite others to contribute to the album on Windows, Mac, Android, ChromeOS and iOS.
