Where does one sign up for calligraphy classes by Meghan Markle?
A letter recently written by the Duchess of Sussex has made its rounds, thanks in part to her impeccable handwriting.
Having been invited to be the guest editor of British Vogue magazine, Markle thought it’d be the perfect opportunity to celebrate influential characters that she admires.
One of the people featured in her ‘Forces for Change’ issue was Matt Haig, author of Reasons to Stay Alive and Notes on a Nervous Planet. Haig has been open about dealing with mental health issues, and the duchess believed the world needed “more of” his insights.
Following the feature, Markle penned a thank-you note to the author, writing, “Dear Matt, since reading Notes on a Nervous Planet last fall, it instantly became a household favorite. When I knew I would be guest-editing the September issue of British Vogue, I knew you had to be a part of it. Thank you for being a force for change. The world needs more of you! Meghan.”
Haig shared her letter on Twitter, and as kind as she was to dedicate a note to each person featured, social media users seemed to be more in awe of her “exquisite penmanship.”
According to Good Morning America, Markle did professional calligraphy as a side gig while auditioning to be an actress, so little wonder why her handwriting is so immaculate.

I would love to go back in time and tell my young hopeless suicidal self about all of this magic to stay alive for. pic.twitter.com/ulCPznvZAR

“When I knew I would be secretly guest editing the September issue of @britishvogue, including Luminary Bakery was a non-negotiable. The work you do, what you represent to the community, the spirit of the women there- you all embody what it means to be “forces for change”. Thank you for being a part of this special project.” — HRH The Duchess of Sussex @SussexRoyal⠀ ⠀ #ForcesForChange #BritishVogue #BritishVogueSeptemberIssue #DuchessofSussex #MeganMarkle #EmpoweringWomen #LuminaryBakery
