Floating between the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre is Paris’ shiny new urban art museum. Fluctuart is the “first center of floating urban art” in the world, and is free to enter all year round.
Measuring three stories tall and 11,000 square feet, the art center is nowhere as expansive as the Louvre and Musée d'Orsay from a stone’s throw away. Instead, it serves as an intimate showcase for both permanent and temporary exhibits by renowned and emerging street artists.
Fluctuart floats on the Seine river, making it the ideal home for a collection of street artworks from urban creators like Banksy and Shepard Fairey, as well as up-and-coming street artists.
Guests can also enjoy on-water views from the museum’s rooftop bar and restaurant, which is adorned with repurposed paint cans and skateboard deck menus. Inside, they can also explore its bookstore and participate in cultural events and workshops.
You can find out more about the newly-opened museum here.
