Donald Trump has found himself as an object of ridicule again after referring to the US military as “infantroopen.”
Last Thursday, the president introduced the new secretary of defense, Mark Esper, at the Pentagon. Esper was awarded the ‘Combat Infantryman Badge’ for his service in the US armed force.
Trump seemed to have a hard time pronouncing “infantry” while discussing Esper’s career, butchering the name of the badge as a “Combat ‘Infantroopen’ Badge” instead.
Many social media users were quick to notice the mistake, and predictably took to Twitter to mock Trump. They also pointed out that he had trouble saying “lawmakers,” and called them “lawmurkers.”
