Poundland Gets Heat For Placing Sexual Stamina Toys In Back-To-School Corner
By Yimin Huang, 11 Jul 2019
British discount chain Poundland has faced heavy criticism from parents for placing sexual stamina timers in the back-to-school section of a store.
The gadgets were placed next to stationery sets and a checklist for what to bring to school in the Surbiton, Southwest London branch.
Twitter user Digger Doggo ranted that Poundland had received complaints on the location of the sex stamina toys in the past, but the customer service department did not seem to have learned its lesson.
In addition, the company previously attracted controversy with the dubious decision of placing vibrators in the toy section of its branch in Tolworth, south London. It also received backlash for its Christmas campaign featuring a “naughty” elf.
Regarding Digger Doggo’s complaint on Twitter, a worker called Katie from Poundland has responded by saying that the complaint was escalated to the offending store, but he has not gotten a followup since.
