Kim Kardashian is taking the side of fan accounts, who risk getting in trouble with photographers and paparazzi for re-uploading their images without licensing them.
The reality television star has announced that she has hired a personal photographer, so members of the public will be able to use the photos shared on her social media without any legal run-ins.
“Since the paparazzi agencies won’t allow the fans to repost [their photos], all of my [pictures] are taken by my own [photographer], and you guys can re-post whatever you want,” she tweets.
The socialite disclaims that should the photos on her social media channels be snapped by external photographers, it means that they have authorized her—and only her—to use the images, and will be credited in her posts.
“So [for] those, please don’t repost!” she warns.
It’s a win-win for all: fans can re-upload her photos with peace of mind, and photographers will receive proper accreditation and royalties, which means less trouble for the Kardashian sister as well.
You can view some of the images taken by her in-house photographer below.
Btw since the paparazzi agencies won’t allow the fans to repost, all of my pics are taken by my own photog and you guys can always repost whatever you want ❤️ If I ever post from an agency I will tag them and I have permission. So those please don’t repost!— Kim Kardashian West (@KimKardashian) February 7, 2019
