Australian Prime Minister Now Has Two Left Feet Thanks To Photoshop Blunder
By Izza Sofia, 10 Jan 2019
Australian prime minister Scott Morrison left Twitter in stitches due to a glaring flaw in an image found on his official website.
The photo, which shows Morisson with two left feet and photoshopped sneakers, has gone viral on social media with Twitter users hashtagging ‘#shoegate’.
A spokesperson for Morrison explained that the prime minister did not authorize the photo edit that was made to remedy Morisson’s soiled sneakers in the original image.
Morisson tweeted a photo of his K Swiss shoes with the caption, “Message to my Department (PM&C): I didn’t ask for the shoeshine, but if you must photoshop, please focus on the hair (lack thereof), not the feet!”
The Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet (PM&C) accused a graphic designer—who has been involved in churning out design options for Morisson’s Christmas card—for poor editing skills.
The image was accidentally posted by the department that manages the website on behalf of the prime minister. The original photo has now been restored.
Twitter users, of course, had a field day with the photoshop saga. View the funny responses below.
