Cowabunga, This Ultra-Decadent Steak Is Aged In An Entire Block Of Butter

Brace your arteries, the most indulgent steak you’ve ever dug into has arrived.
Chef Casper Sobczyk serves slabs of beef that have been dry-aged in logs of butter at the Marienlyst Strandhotel in Helsingør, Denmark.
For an extra tender mouthfeel, Sobczyk soaks cuts of ribeye in “butter baths” containing over six pounds of the dairy product.
The steak is then left to rest for two months before it hits the table.
“[Before,] we just used unsalted butter, [but] I found that salted butter was better,” the chef described. Salt tenderizes meat and brings more oomph to its flavor, resulting in literally the most buttery beef you’ve ever tasted.
