IHOP Rebrands To IHOb & The Internet Is Upside Down With Hilarious Reactions
By Izza Sofia, 12 Jun 2018
International House of Pancakes (IHOP) recently announced that it will be changing its name to ‘IHOb’.
There was a lot of anticipation mixed with confusion among Twitter users as they wondered what the “b” stands for. Netizens have finally gotten the answer they needed, and many were clearly not ready to accept reality.
IHOB said that its “b” stands for… “burgers.” The company wrote on Instagram, “We’re flippin’ from pancakes, pancakes, pancakes to burgers, burgers, burgers. #IHOb,” with an accompanying video that shows pancakes morphing into a burger.
The name change was supposed to excite patrons, but unfortunately, the internet did not share the same sentiments. Netizens found the name change did not make sense at all, with one Twitter saying, “‘IHOb’ is the best rebranding since ‘Snoop Lion’.”
Supermodel Chrissy Teigen has weighed in on the name change too, and she is definitely not impressed. She tweeted out, “IHOb is the guy who gets a face tattoo of the girl’s name after 1 date.”
