A Light Therapy System That Re-Syncs Your Body Clock To Help You Sleep Better
By Dorothy Tan, 13 Jun 2017
Light is the key influencer of your internal body clock, which is also known as your “circadian rhythm”. When your body clock is out of sync, you may have trouble falling asleep or feel tired during the day.
To help you keep your body clock in sync, the people behind the Circadia system has created a high-tech light therapy program that is customizable to your unique needs—it is designed to help you fall asleep faster, get more refreshing sleep and boost your mood and productivity.
The process starts with the Circadia Sleep tracker, which is the “world’s first contactless sleep monitor”. It is able to analyze your sleep with great accuracy from eight feet away, and use the data it collects to create a personalized light therapy program.
Users would then use the portable Circadian Smart Lamp throughout the day to re-syncs their body clocks—for instance, it would help you warm up to the day in the morning and give you an energy-boosting shot of “visual caffeine” during the mid-afternoon slump.
Learn more about the Circadian system in the video below, or on its Kickstarter page.
